Nightmare

I kept walking but there was nothing.
The darkness was consuming me.
I fell on my knees, holding my head, as the sound pierced my ears, ringing throughout my head so loudly
I begged for it to stop.

I laid down on the dark surface; curling my knees into my chest but the sound of bell never faded.
I screamed at the top of my lungs
My body began to ache, a cry begging to escape my throat as I felt the darkness press against me, threatening to swallow me whole.

Just as I was about to give up, to sink in this place and let the darkness win, I saw a flicker of brightness around me.
The more I focused towards the brightness, the bigger it grew.

There was a voice calling out my name, I got up and followed the voice, walking blindly around the brightness.
I heard the voice again
Who is that? I kept walking, but there was nothing there.
The sound of bell was still echoing around me.

The only hope I had was the voice but it was slowly fading. There was no way to escape this.
There was nothing in my sight to get me out of this place. The brightness faded, leaving me in the dark once again.

I closed my eyes and fell on my knees; begging and screaming for someone to get me out of this place.
I was sobbing, gasping for air as the darkness was swallowing me. The world around me went black.

I woke up frantically, beads of sweat on my forehead as I struggled to breathe.
Sitting up quickly I scanned my room to reassure myself that I was safe, I pulled my blanket tighter around me, taking deep breaths I whispered to myself ,  "This was just a Nightmare, I am safe", and I finally managed to calm my heart down.
